A lot of people choose to watch Captain Marvel after Infinity War since it was revealed that it was she whom Nick Fury sent the distress signal to when all hell broke loose on Earth.

However, if you think about it, it would be better to watch it after Captain America: The First Avenger since it is also a movie set in a specific period in time, in the ’90s. If you watch it after Captain America: The First Avenger, it gives us a glimpse into Nick Fury’s past.

Additionally, Captain Marvel also helped inspire Nick Fury into forming his team of superheroes. She is also the first one to let Fury know that there are threats outside of Earth, although this was something Fury did not believe at first.
